What is the end goal of Participatory Video (PV)?
PV projects can be implemented for a variety of reasons. The value could be in the actual process of collaboratively making a video: its transformational impact on participants. A PV exercise could also be a valuable method for developing group-skills in audio-visual production. Or PV could be the best way of making a certain kind of video output that depends on local access and intimate knowledge.
PV can be a profoundly meaningful experience for everyone involved. It can result in beautiful films.
